VLite Program

I was wondering if the admins/mods encourage or allow talks of Vlite here in the forum? If so I have a question about it. Thanks
Raj

Re: VLite Program

Thank You z3r010!
Here is what I tried this weekend and just want to make sure I'm doing it right.
1. I open Vlite and tell it to look at my DVD Drive for Vista Install files.
2. I tell Vlite to look at C:\New Folder to store the files there. It copies the file.
3. I tell it to slipstream SP1. It does so sucessfully
4. I leave Tweaks alone.
5. I uncheck services I do not want and programs I do not want on my image. I give it a product key to use.
6. I tell it to save my ISO file. It does sucessfully.
7. I use Nero to burn my image to DVD. The image came to be 1.8 gig.

Is there something I'm missing? Sound ok? I'm going to test with Vista Business tonight.

Re: VLite Program

I got it to work successfully. Heck of a difference with install speed. SP1 slipstreamed just fine. Thanks

Re: VLite Program

Hi,

I have made several vLite versions.

Great program - I have had a lot of fun with it. I could never get windows updates to integrate - keep getting blue screen saying out of disc space , which I am not.

Did you manage to integrate windows upates? If so, how?

I've been to vLite forum and it seems a lot of peole , but not all , have the same problem.

Thanks

SIW2

Re: VLite Program

Hi SIW2,
I never tried that. I felt I was lucky enough to get SP1 slipstreamed
