| Vista Ultimate X64 | Re: Yahoo Messenger problem I believe I have the answer to this problem. I use 64 bit Windows Ultimate and what I did was download yahoo messenger beta 9.0. Installed that then reboot. Then in order to get audio there is a TSP codec I have to download/install. Should work for 32 bit Vista too. Here is the link to the audio codec needed: " F R E E C R E E D . C O M " Please let us know if this helps. Thanks Raj |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Yahoo Messenger problem I believe you're wrong - because the module listed is secure32.dll, and because he is running Vista 32bit to begin with....and the Y!m is crashing on his logging in. BTW, seigologies, don't post in someone else's topic unless your problem is the *exact* same as theirs - they had issues with *sound* not with Y!m crashing. I have moved this to the appropriate place. now, as to Y! crashing, have you uninstalled and installed the latest version? How long has it been crashing? Have you run anti malware and virus scans? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Yahoo! Messenger issues Neither of those are right, I found the solution. 1. Open Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows Features On or Off 2. Now make sure each of these features are on IF YOU HAVE THEM. - a) XPS Viewer - b) Windows DFS Replication service are on - c) GroupPolicy Preferences CSE Note that these may be located in root level folders. | Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Yahoo! Messenger issues Yahoo Msgr 8.1.0.421 seemed to work fine with Vista 64 in audio and video. I then installed the 64 bit beta version of Msgr and discovered it didn't have video so I went back. Doesn't make sense to play with half a deck. |
