| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch Hey all, With my Messenger, I like to patch it with Mess patch so it gets rid of adds and annoying buttons. And I've noticed on the latest patch for messenger 8.5, even though I tell it to remove the bottom advert banner, It won't...Is anyone else having this issue? |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch Hey mate, Cheers for that..I just patched my messenger then with it and let me just say it pwns messpatch! I really dig the preview in the setup cause with messpatch I really didn't know half of what they meant. Now here's another really interesting question...is there an A-patch or equivelant program for Windows Live Mail? Cause there sure is some annoying buttons, folders, and features I would like to get rid of in that thing. Also, when Messenger updates, will it update with the A-patch too? Please help, Joronamo. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch If I remember rightly (I might be wrong!), A-Patch doesn't give you the option to have maximised Display Pictures upon Contact Cards when you click people's pictures on the contacts list. To me this is one of the most important features - I don't want to have to open a conversation with someone just to see their maximised picture. Without this feature A-Patch just doesn't cut it for me, although I'll agree it's a much better installation process and the previews are excellent. So if this feature is important to you also, I'd recommend MessPatch. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch I use this: MSN Messenger Now Playing Plugin (gen_msn) Has always worked for me brilliantly, and has nice customisation (I include the album name along with it on mine). It's a plugin for Winamp itself, not Windows Live Messenger. Funny enough I see an A-Patch link on the left. Perhaps they're affiliated. |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch Cool works great, but how do you configure the album name. When I go winamp and configure the plugin, it says %album%...i dont know where to go from there. Cheers, Joronamo. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Windows Live Messenger and Mess Patch Cool! Glad it works. To add the album name into the string, you put {2} anywhere in it and it will be replaced by the album name. I put the album name within [], so it's written as [{2}]. Including everything, mine looks like: {0} - {1} - [{2}] Hope this helps |
