Vista - Can;t Print running Adobe PDF as administrator

First this is a Windows issue not Adobe. I can print just fine with my user account (which has admim priviledges) when running the program in normal mode. If I run adobe as administrator (I have to run this way and I'll explain below) it says I have to choose a printer before performing this action. If I log directly into my admin acct then I have no problem printing.

NOTES:
I have to run in adim mode because I print pdf docs from my email program and I have to run it in admim mode to get it to work properly. I use AdvantageXI email program that is associated with my database software I use for work.

There is no reason why I shouldn't be able to print from either mode in any program and I thought someone here might have a little insite to correct this problem.

Hi, themediator, and welcome to the forums.

By chance is your AdvantageXI email program already running as administrator? If so, is this a *requirement*? If so, have you tried saving the PDFs to your HD and then opening them in a normally (unelevated) executed Adobe reader?

Thanks for responding...... at one time we had to run XI as admin to get it to work properly however I am now able to run without using admin. level and I have no problems.

I had a feeling that was the issue - applications that do not run as administrator are prevented from passing data to applications that *do* run as administrator, as a security precaution, and that is in effect what you were trying to do.
