Vista - 924 printer and vista problems

I just got vista home premium and tried to copy pothos from my Dell924..won't work. I downloaded the drivers and softwear for vista 32bit and installed but to no avale. I can print. Do just take a stick and whack it? Help Please

Can you be a little more clear about what you mean? Is pothos another program? A game? How did you copy it? And your last statement obviously won't help anything, so let's leave out the violence, OK?

By chance are you trying to copy photographs / digital images from your Dell?

Finally, what are your system specifications? Vista Premium can run on 1000s of different computer systems, but different computer systems will react differently with the version of Premium they have installed as well as will make Vista more or less responsive, etc. So, what I am saying is that we need *details*.

Now, seeing that I'm not as smart as you are about this stuff I'll try to give you what you want.
I have a HP computer that runs vista home premium, 32 bit.
I have a Drell 924 all-in-one printer.
I can print.
I cannot copy a photo from the Dell to my computer.
Before I could do just that and then use the Dell all-in-one progrm to crop,enlarge,etc.
Now I can't.
As for the violence...That's a line from a song of Jim Staffords and was ment as a joke...But I guess you missed that part.

OK, see, now you're explaining things a lot more logically and clearly.

Now, I assume that you mean you are unable to *scan* because you do not have the Dell software as you did before on your old computer, or is there not a device showing at all in your Scanners and Cameras?

I see now that you meant Photos not pothos, but pothos made absolutely no sense to me so I had to ask you to be clear.

Finally, I have no idea who Jim Stafford is, so, yes, the reference was lost on me.
