Firefox 2 dead bookmarks?

I was using AM-Deadlink to clean out my bookmarks but it seems now even
if I disable search in the location bar, Firefox 2 will still "find" a page most of
the time. So AM-Deadlink hardly ever gets an error 404 return to mark the
page as dead. (Try typing in just some expletives into the location bar.
You may be surprised to find you almost always get a "hit" that's a search
page.)

Anyone know of a bookmark cleaner for Firefox 2 that actually works?

Re: Firefox 2 dead bookmarks?

I upgraded to AM-Deadlink 3.3 and it does seem to work in that the 404 error flagged bookmarks can definitely be deleted. The redirected ones you have to preview to see if they're redirected to a page with real content or just a search splash screen.
