My mum is having a problem with her photo memory card. Apparently it has always worked by just "plugging it in, and then a box comes up asking me if I would like to import the pictures? I say yes please, and then something else happens and I can see them."
Through lots of pointing and asking questions, I've found out the the second "something" is Windows Photo Gallery. However, today she plugged the same memory card into the computer and got a box saying "d: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel."
I don't know much about Vista (still an XP man), but this is stressing her out because she doesn't understand why it's stopped working all of a sudden. I've tried to change the auto play settings, but the only thing I can make it do is open the pictures - no mention of automatically importing the pictures. My mum as sure (quite vocally, in fact) that it used to ask to import straight away.
Any thoughts?
