itunes again! Burning to CD issues.

Dear anyone out there. I am increasingly frustrated by this software. Can anyone help. I am running Vista Home Premium, my itunes is 7.7.1.11 I WANT TO BURN Sigur Ros so I can chill out in the morning traffic but get that message that others are getting, iTunes Error 2131 and "Can not burn cd. An unknown error has occured". My computer is an ACER Aspire 5920. While people are suggesting other ways to burn discs, using itunes is very easy and doesn't involve maneouvering files around in Explorer. HELP!!!!

Used to work on my old ACER. New one running vista, no joy. Tried the download for driver installer x86_x64 and all it does now is flick between insert "please insert blank disc" and "burning disc - intializing". I am at my wits end. Haven't itunes got a patch or Vista got one as it would appear to be a software issue caused by the lack of sync between the OS and the program!!!! It can't be rocket science.

Still no good. It refers to something to do with ejecting ipod in windows, the updated itunes 8 STILL doesn't burn. It must be a Vista problem, the two seem absolutely incompatible. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhh!:mad:

Downloads no good, said not applicable to my system AND i got both x32 and x64 variants.

Thanks guys for your help though, Karma goes out to all, we'll keep working on it.

But listen good Microsoft, karma is a vengeful elephant!

What file format are the tunes in? Can you use a different program to burn the audio files. Mediaplayer should be able to do it.

I have helped 2 people whose burners stopped working after installing and using i-tunes. Hardware is fine because they burn fine in another machine, but even new burners dont work on i-tunes problematic machine. Apple strikes again? I would like to say that uninstalling itunes helps, but it doesn't. I did that, I even tried re-installing nero that came with drive. no more burn. Tried re-installing windows? No good there either. Only a complete re-format and then re-install from scratch of windows operating system got it back up and running. love dem apples eh???
