| Windows Vista Home Premium x64 | ***.Net Framework does not install on Vista x64*** I don't have any other .net frameworks installed on my computer yet the install always fails. Can someone please help? I am trying to install Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition and I need it as soon as possible for my job. Please help me!!!! |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: ***.Net Framework does not install on Vista x64*** Visual Studio should check and install all pre-requisites before it is installed. I use Visual Studio 2005 with Vista Ultimate x64 and pre-reqs installed first. But since it's having a problem, use this link to download and install the .NET framework: .NET Framework Developer Center Download and install .NET 3.0 SP1 and 3.5. Reboot and then try to install VS2008. And please post a more detailed failure message. I don't know if the .NET install failed or VS2008 failed. |

| Windows Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: ***.Net Framework does not install on Vista x64*** O I tried everything possible besides one dumb thing. I finally figured out what the problem was myself lol. I went to Add/Remove Programs and Remove windows components. Microsoft 3.0 framework had a check on it so I just unchecked it and then it worked. Thanks for the help though.  |
