microsoft word program for students

Hi
I need advise on adding word to my daughters lap top she has works but she said it is not a good as word on helping her pick up spelling and punctuation I am looking for student versions and suggestions

Yeah I did the ultimate steal thing. It's a great deal, but I probably won't ever use a lot of the programs. So far I've only used Word and OneNote and Excel to a small degree. I'll probably use Powerpoint down the line at some point.
