Glary utilities

A member recommended that I download the above. I did and it told me that I had 158 faults in my computer and that it would fix a small %age of these FOC. Is there any other free download that will fix the lot FOC?

Re: Glary utilities

Hello Ronda.

Can you be more specific as to what problems you're experiencing?

I just looked up the thread you were referring to.

A System Restore is a good way to remove some problems, just use a restore date before you installed the program.

Keep us informed!

Re: Glary utilities

Hi ronda,

I have used the FREE glaryutilities for a while and have never had a message like that.

Think you may have got a trial of the pay version by mistake.

The faults you refer to are just invalid registry keys i.e. it has identified entries that don't do anything and it thinks are not needed. The registry contains tens of thousands of entries , so a hundred or so extra ones don't really make any difference. Many people don't clean the registry, ever.

However, most utility programs include some kind of registry cleaner - some like Ccleaner and the free glaryutilities just give it a light dusting . Others do much deeper scan and clean - particularly the pay for ones. There are even some which would find many hundreds of "errors" - they can be dangerous - deleting the wrong entries can cause problems.

I suggest you uninstall the version you have now and get the FREE version from this link. It won't scan the registry as deeply , but it doesn't matter, you can skip that section if you like

Hope that helps
