| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Alter Icons Hey whomever reads this. Right, I have downloaded some custom desktop icons, favourite button, stop button in explorer and such, and they're all .png files. What I need now is the knowledge of how to apply them to my laptop. Is there some kind of specific software i need to do it? What is the inevitably long and tiresome procedure for this? Thanks a lot, Andy |

| Vista home premium 64 bit | Re: Alter Icons Set up a folder on your computer and put the png files in there. Right click on an icon you need to change and then select properties. On the bottom is 3 buttons, the middle one being change icon. You may have to change your pictures to icon format, I dont know if PNG files will work as an icon as they are but try it to see. Give us some feedback on how it went. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Alter Icons Righto, thanks for your help guys. The result so far, I managed to convert PNG to ICO, and so now my computer, recycle bin, network and some self-created folders are customed to perfection, so all that's good. However, There are more icons for, say, .mp3 files, and the DVD drive. I have no idea where to find these on the laptop in order to change them... any clue? This stuff really does look pretty. I love Vista. Cheers, and thanks again! |
