Problems with messenger beta?

If you trust MSN live messenger to *always* deliver your messages, there's reason to consider downgrading to the stable version or atleast keep in mind that there may be a chance that the recipient don't get the sent message.

I've gotten complaints from some friends using the latest messenger beta. They say that all of the sudden some messages don't get delivered. I'm just curious about if anyone has had the same experience?

... I should add that it seems to me as if it's limited to Windows XP (maybe even SP3 only). I've not encountered the issue myself, and have not had any complaints from anyone who run it on Vista...

This could be down to inconsistencies between 8 and 9 and all might get resolved once everyone's on 9.

I'm not actually *complaining* about this, I'm just curious if anyone else experience the problem. I know all about why not to run beta and the price of life on the edge. Specially when it comes to microsoft releases... :)

When I first started Live Messenger 9 beta, I had a problem when I was talking to someone and none of my messages were being sent. I could see what they were saying, but I had to reconnect to fix it.

Not had the problem since though and I've been using it for over a month now.

There was about a month & a half ago when we started testing this. Not sure if there are still invitation options.

If you run an earlier version than the one Zyonix posted an image of, just go here:

Messenger beta - Windows Live

The beta has been public for quite some time now... If you have major issues, I suggest you uninstall the beta then install the latest release version.
