Nero 8 installation problem
Hi
I have a problem when installing NERO 8.
I have downloaded the Nero 8 update file from NERO.com (v. 8.3.6.0) without any problem.
I started by stopping the firewall and anti virus program (Sys mech) running on my PC.
When starting to install the file is extracted on my PC - before it is finnished I get the message "File corrupt" and the extraction stops.
Then I tried to download the file again - same result.
Then I tried to download the file on another PC and transfer it to my PC with vista - same result.
Then I tried to download the file on a PC with XP and then transfer it to my PC with VISTA - same result.
But the extraction "file corrupt" is not the same place in the extraction.
Then I have tried with complete new VISTA installation - same result.
Also if I try to download the trial version I get the same result.
The thing is that all other installations of other SW runs with no problem at all.
Does anybody have a clu to what seems to be the problem?

Hi Hilde
I would presume that the download is corrupt, maybe you should try to download from another site.

Re: Nero 8 installation problem
I have downloaded the file from the official NERO homepage, so I do not think the file itself is defect. Further more I have tried both the update file and the trail file which gave the same result.
I have Googled around on the internet and it seems that no one have had the same problem. So I wonder if is related to my PC - maybe a BIOS setup which makes my PC run at the edge - speedwise. I will try ajust the BIOS setup to a more conservative setup (Safe - read slow setup) and try again.
