| Ultimate x64 | Spell Checking anywhere Is it possible? I heard Mac has perfected this misterious way of checking spelling and grammar in any window that has text. Can the all mighty Vista do that? I have Vista Ultimate x64, about as expensive as it gets, yet I seem to need to buy separate programs to check my spelling in say yahoo messenger or Firefox or whatnot.. Is there any free way to spellcheck anywhere other than MS Office? |

Is there any free way to spellcheck anywhere other than MS Office? I know there's a free one called ASpell. There should also be either a different utility or an add-on for ASpell that monitors the clipboard allowing you to highlight and copy from any window. After spelling is corrected it pastes it into the highlighted text, replacing the block with spell-checked text. |

| Ultimate x64 | Re: Spell Checking anywhere No, this is what it says in teh Readme file: "Aspell requires gcc 2.95 (or better) as the C++ compiler. Other C++ compilers should work with some effort." ... "To install the program simply type make install" And there's no .exe in the archive of version 0.60.6 I've downloaded last night.. Haven't quite looked into it cause I was tired but I'm pretty sure that's the right program. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: Spell Checking anywhere spell checkers. One is PsPad which is especially good for editing web pages, but it can be used as a plain text editor with spell check. I'm using it on 32 bit XP and Vista. I'm not sure about 64 bit support. |
