| Member | WMP Open with list problem hi after I played with codecs and settings for wmp on Vista x64 my wmp stopped working when I chose to open avi file with open with. When I run wmp and open avi file everything works OK. The error message windows looks like   Last edited by mysiar; 11-13-2008 at 01:15 PM.. |

| Member | Re: WMP Open with list problem Does the file open with another player? Try VLC and see if it opens. Also put the file in aother folder that does not have _ before it. That might not be the fix but you never know. |

| Member | Re: WMP Open with list problem I do not understand why I should try VLC or anything else when I said above: When I run WMP and open AVI file it works PERFECT. I have only a problem with OPEN WITH list and looking for the way to fix it. |

| Member | Re: WMP Open with list problem found solution myself  it is just enough to run regedit locally as user and delete all entries at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.avi than the whole list can be recreated |
