xbox 360 extender configuration error

Having problems with connecting to my xbox 360

main problem is when media center is configuring extender and computor it ticks the first two boxes but on the configuring extender settings it take a long while before it comes up with

CONFIGURATION ERROR

An error was encountered while configuring your computter for use with this Extender.

Have tried the deleting of Certifiacate in mmc - still does not work
any clues please

I too am having the same problem but i don't even get the first tick.
Its not my Anti virus Firewall issue.
It is a modem/router port firewall issue.
What modem are you running?

The strange thing about this is that when i have by laptop on and somebody turns the XBox on my laptop detect my extender so it knows its there.
my modem is a cable NTL 250 and my wireless router is a Belkin wireless G router 2.4ghz 802.11g

Have you checked your event viewer to determine EXACTLY what the error is your are receiving? type event into the search box under the start tab, then run the event viewer and look for errors in and around the time of the config error. Once an error found, there is a link in there that will take you to a microsoft sie with more info. or you can try copying and pasting into google and serahcing the error.

If you do find a problem please post it back here, and I'll do the same.
