I tried to install SP1 on my desktop numerous times and every time it failed at stage 3: always showing Stage 3 of 3 0%, then reboot, then failed again.
The error code 80070246

Submarine is correct - please search the forums and see the previous discussions for a variety of possible fixes and if you're still unable to resolve the issue, please post back, including detailing what attempts you have used to fix and the results of said attempts.
