ASUS P6T Deluxe Intel core i7 940 6GB Gskill DDR3 Ram ATI Radeon 4870 WD Raptor Drive Everything's been running great, however i went to install Itunes 8 (64bit) and have this issue when i startup the program. ![]() I have all updated drivers, and no hardware conflicts presently that i'm aware of.. It's starting to get frustrating not being to update my phone/Ipod etc, so i'll paypal $20 to the first person that can provide me with a solution. Thanks! |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) Flynnstone, Try these suggestions. Run itunes as an administrator. Stick it in the DEP allow list and re run it. Run it in compatibility mode. Start it in Safe Mode. Do a repair install in Programs and features. Uninstall it and delete all relevant entries. Turn off any AV program. Reinstall it as admin. Have Apple Mobile Device service, ipod service, windows media player network sharing service set on automatic. Make sure your display settings is set at 64 bit. Read this. yukichigai - Making the iPhone work in XP x64 - A guide for lovers Even if any of my suggestions work, which they most likely won't, lol, I wouldn't want your money. Donate it to this forum if you like. If they don't work then maybe someone else will have the right workaround. Good luck. |

| Vista Home Premium 64Bit SP1 | re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) I second that. If you feel compelled to give away your money, give it to a worthwhile cause. As for your problem, try going to where you have installed itunes, right click on itunes.exe and in the compatability tab in properties check disable visual themes. When you load up itunes it will give you a warning about out dated compatability but it will still load up fine and the black background should be gone. Hope this helps Last edited by eggyuk; 12-18-2008 at 06:40 AM.. Reason: typos |

| Windows Vista x64 Ultimate | re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) I don't use iTunes, so I can't be of much use to you there, but honestly, I have yet to find any software from Apple that works properly on Windows Vista. From the looks of it, iTunes has lost some of it's own resources. Sure, it's iTunes 8, but do you have the latest build? Try downloading and installing it again. I don't even have Quicktime installed anymore because I got tired of the crashes. If I download Quicktime videos, I convert them to xVid first. Give your money to a worthy cause. And tell us where you got that wallpaper you're using. |

| Ultimate x64 | Re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) i think i've figured it out! If i go to the compatibility tab and select "run this program in compatibility mode for XP SP2" it does some funky things with my display briefly, then loads correctly without error... Anyone experience this other than me? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) I get the same issue form time to time, however I've learned to live with it. Sometimes I just right click in the program and it goes away. Yeah it's annoying, but... ![]() Haven't noticed it in the latest version, but... |

| Windows Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Issue with Itunes 8 (64bit) Those "funky things" happening with your display when you run something in compatibility mode appears to be normal behaviour for Vista. It happens with me also, but only when I run some older software, which I rarely do anymore. But it figures perfectly that Apple will release an updated iTunes to work with Vista, and it needs to be run in XP compatibility mode to work properly. Typical of Apple... |
