| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: 32 bit key on 64 bit? Hello Codexrobin, and welcome to Vista Forums. You will not be able to install a OEM Vista, or that product key number, on another computer other than the one it came with or 1st installed on. If you have the 64-bit OEM, Vista Home Premium installation DVD, then you can use the same product key number to install it on your computer only. If not, you may be able to order it from your OEM for a minimal fee. You can use the same product key number for either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the OEM Vista on only your computer. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: 32 bit key on 64 bit? does that mean i can use this key on a 64bit vista? im trying to go to 64 bit that means i don't want to use 32 bit anymore. In the sense that i'm swapping it...32 bit will no longer be used so the key will be for just ONE pc |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: 32 bit key on 64 bit? If it is on the same original OEM computer, then you can with a copy of the 64-bit version of your OEM Vista instead of the 32-bit OEM disc that you have. Of course your OEM computer must already have a 64-bit CPU and with 64-bit drivers available for your device for the 64-bit Vista to run. All Vista editions (ex: Home Premium) have a 32-bit and 64-bit version of them. You can use the product key number for your edition on either version of it. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: 32 bit key on 64 bit? Yes, the retail version will have both the 32-bit and 64-bit installation DVDs included with it. You could install either one with the same product key number that comes with it. It will be two separate discs, so it's really up to you and if your computer can support 64-bit Vista for which one to install. |
