I would just keep them, as all of them together don't take up much space but you could look up and search for information about each program and decide if you want to keep everyone. I would suggest that you update a lot of your programs for safety reasons though. Adobe Reader, Java especially,CCleaner, Firefox, Opera, Avast Program update, not just the iAVS update, and Spybot. Just about everything. lol. And all critical and important windows updates. You risk having security holes if you leave them as older versions. |

The question was brought up because i want to speed up my system, help from this guide made a significant difference to my system speed allround, step one says to take out the bloatware to save resources i was hoping i could gut it further. Yeah my avast isn't the most up to date version i thought iAVS update gave you as much protection as what the newer versions would offer, guess i thought wrong. Thanks for your reply makes sense. |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Which are programs that are not needed? Yeah, it's not that much in size. But I would definately update those all those programs mentioned cuz you're running a risk with older versions. You could also erase your last system restore points except the last one if you wanted more space back. With Disk Cleanup. |
