| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Cannot uninstall completely I attempted to install a DLink wired router and in the process a program called "Network Magic" was installed on my Vista 32 bit desktop PC. Didn't know what it was so I "googled" it and discovered that this program causes problems with printer functions and also it was very difficult to remove it. I uninstalled it using "Program Features" and it was removed, but now my printer does not appear on the task bar and I cannot access the Properties to change settings there. Next, I tried system restore to before the program installed but the printer still does not function correctly. Should I consider undoing system restore and then uninstalling and reinstalling the printer? Is there another way to get rid of what still might be remaining of the Network Magic program? |

Try uninstalling your printer program and reinstall. You can search for Network Magic remaining junk with Search in the start menu, just search everywhere-advanced- include non indexed, hidden. Or you could reinstall it and use Revo Uninstaller on Advanced setting to get rid of it. Then run SFC. You might want to run a through malware scan just in case, as this program seems to be not very honest. System Files - SFC Command |
