Cannot uninstall completely

I attempted to install a DLink wired router and in the process a program called "Network Magic" was installed on my Vista 32 bit desktop PC. Didn't know what it was so I "googled" it and discovered that this program causes problems with printer functions and also it was very difficult to remove it. I uninstalled it using "Program Features" and it was removed, but now my printer does not appear on the task bar and I cannot access the Properties to change settings there. Next, I tried system restore to before the program installed but the printer still does not function correctly. Should I consider undoing system restore and then uninstalling and reinstalling the printer? Is there another way to get rid of what still might be remaining of the Network Magic program?

Hi pakratt,

Try uninstalling your printer program and reinstall. You can search for Network Magic remaining junk with Search in the start menu, just search everywhere-advanced- include non indexed, hidden. Or you could reinstall it and use Revo Uninstaller on Advanced setting to get rid of it. Then run SFC. You might want to run a through malware scan just in case, as this program seems to be not very honest.
