| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Registry Key for WMP11 Hi, I'm suck at this stuff hence i've got myself in a situation. My media player 11 kept freezing when i'd try to rip more than 1 cd all of a sudden. I'd reboot then it would be fine again for only 1 cd. So i started reading forums on how to uninstall and reinstall media player. One said i had to delete the entire key from the registry then when i rebooted it would ask me to reinstall. It didn't happen. Now WMP opens and will play music but when i try to rip a cd it says it cannot do it and offers no reason. I'm running 32bit vista ultimate. I've tried the cumulative update for WMP but it says i have a newer version of it installed so it can't continue. Also i wasn't provided with a copy of vista with the computer so i cant reinstall that either can i? Thanks in advance |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Registry Key for WMP11 It started happening about a week ago when i was putting all my cd's onto the comp. It did about 80 just fine then just started freezing in the middle of it. Yeah I have tried installing media player again, it tries to validate windows and fails. Then it opens a validation page that never finishes processing. But in other cases it has been validated without opening the validation page. Thanks again guys |

| Vista home premium 64 bit | Re: Registry Key for WMP11 I had the same problem with XP SP3 on my laptop. It was a validation error that was causing all the problems. Try this site Fix Windows Media Player Problems at Instant Registry Fixes |
