| Vista Home Premium x64 | Having some problems after getting Vista x64 on my computer. Ok, So i just got windows Vista Home Premium X64 a couple days ago and so far i have just a couple problems that i can't figure out. Well first of all i can't get the switching between windows thing to work correctly. My Girlfriend has Vista Home Premium also but she has 32 bit. But on hers the switching between windows is the live tabs of each window. And also when you hover the mouse over a minimized window on the taskbar its shows a live icon window of that window, but on mine it's just a tool tip. Another thing is i cannot change my colors of my taskbar and active windows. On my girlfriends PC when you go to the control panel and go to customize then colors it shows some different colors and it changes the taskbar as well as the windos but on mine its way different when you go to change the colors. And one last little question I have read about the Aero thing.. not sure exactly what it is.. i think its a theme right? well i don't have it under my themes list.. Can anyone help? |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Having some problems after getting Vista x64 on my computer. Ok well i think i just solved a couple of problems on my own. I just now found the system requirements for windows aero.. and i currently have a piece of crap for a video card cuz my other one fried.. So nevermind my windows aero problem. I also understand that windows aero is needed to used the flip 3D, live thumbnail viewing, and im guessing to change the color of the taskbar..... |

| vista home premium 65 bit | Re: Having some problems after getting Vista x64 on my computer. I don't know if this is the place to put my problem since it is not related to this one, but is a vista 64 bit question. I installed the Vista Home premium 64 bit a few days ago, and that was the only thing Iinstalled, and was trying it for a few days to make sure everything was going good. I put it to sleep instead of turning it off. Later when I came out and woke it up it woke up fine but then I had no mouse movement, no keyboard nothing. I had no choice but to cut it off, and when restarted it.. it just resumed windows from there. I had mouse and keyboard back. Everytime I use the sleep mode I have to go through this same thing again. If I just leave the puter on and come back a few hours later I have to go through the same thing again. What could be the problem and how do I fix it. |
