Bonjour service

Apple offered update for Itunes and with it was Bonjour service. I did not know what Bonjour service was and perhaps I should declined it. Now a window pops up asking me if I have the most recent update. I don't know if I have because I can't find Bonjour service in my programs list and I can't open it to find out what it is. Can anybody tell me something about this program. Thanks. GordonHS

its not a critical process so you can disable this, its designed to locate network devices and folders that are being shared on the network, it is pretty much useless as it was built for Mac OSX 10.2, the windows version was developed by apple and shouldnt be considered a virus or malware, its just a network discovery tool.

Thanks Mr Needs. I was able to uninstall Bonjour Service in the Programs and Features of Control Panel. I don't understand "scales" but you did help me! GordonHS
