Eusing Free Registry Cleaner: Jacked up my PC

After taking some advice from what i read on the forum, i downloaded and ran Eusing Free Registry Cleaner: Safely scan and repair registry problems - Spyware FREE.. Now that my registry is supposedly "clean" i no longer can access my Control Panel and Personalize options.

These programs really should not be recommended without knowing the full consequence of what harm they can do.

How can i re-install the files that Eusing Free Registry cleaner corrupted? Or do i need to do a fresh Vista re-install?

Thx

Re: Eusing Free Registry Cleaner: Jacked up my PC

Under Action click "Restore previous registry..." and you should be able to go back.

Program can also force a system restore when you "clean". Even if you have not ticked that you could choose the latest restore point until use of regcleaner, restore Vista.

I just checked and backup files are still left on hard disk after uninstall, should you have done that. Go to program files\Eusing Free Registry Cleaner\Backup Click on latest/last one. Will revert changes.

You can also do a Vista Reinstall, which would also fix it.

The thing with Registry Cleaners, is that they can delete helpful directories, so you should only use them if you know what you are doing.

Eusing is not meant to be used on x64 system. I learned that the hard way.

Latest version includes a bugfix saying "Fixed bug when scanning HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareWow6432Node to get in a loop" so it is compatible since i believe that is only in 64bit OS. May be it just became compatible
