Vista - Zune

Hey Guys

I don't know wheter to post this as I have tried zune.net and zuneboard etc and still no success!

I have a zune (no complaints there marvelous device!) My problem is that I have upgraded to vista (sorry for stating the obvious!), Half way through my first installation (techincally the upgrade from XP) My darling daughter hit the power switch and killed everything on the hdd (boot.ini failed error!)

Then Clean install and reloaded everything back on - now for the problem! My zune software does not recongise the music previously stored on my zune! The original files were it looked for them are not there any more!

I have all the files backed up on cd but is there a zune program to access the hdd of the zune. I've tried zune enabler (doesn't want to work with x64 or ME perhaps). and the zune reg hack is basically the zune enabler the long way round!

I can not ring Zune support as this was a ebay purchase and I live in Australia, so the call costs would be pricey!

Does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks for help in advance (by the way I have 3.0 (ish) zune software

Have you tried downloading the newest version?
The current version of Zune software is 3.1.620.0. To check the version you have installed, open Zune software, then click Settings, General, About Zune.
I have reinstalled my OS many times and never had this problem, and I have added and removed music without fail. You might have to wipe the zune or something.

I have the upto date software. If I reset my zune i lose all music and Ihave to go back and get it all off cd again. Any other suggestions welcomed please but thatnks for the tip
