Hi
Iam hoping some body can help i build my computer over 4 months ago and have activated windows with no problems
i have since built my wife a computer and loaded vista 64 bit on to it but i need another product key to activte window microsoft want £126
i can get a vista upgrade disc for £68 will i beable to use the product key of the upgrade disc to activate my wifes computer

First of all, please don't bump your posts - see: http://www.vistax64.com/general-discussion/118651-forum-rules.html Rule #2. I have, therefore, deleted that post.

You can only use a key to activate a single copy of Vista on one machine only. This key needs to match the version of Vista installed, and also whether it is OEM, Upgrade, or Full Retail. If your installation of Vista is from an upgrade disk, and it is the same version that you have installed on your wife's machine, then yes you should be able to activate it with the key of the upgrade disk you are proposing to get, providing, of course, that the key matches the version of Vista installed.
