Vista - Yahoo Messenger won't install

I am running Vista Home Prem - 32 bit. I have been trying to download and install Yahoo Messenger. It will go almost all the way thru the download and install process, then stops. The error message says that it is not a WIN32 program. I have searched everywhere for an answer, but can't find one. Yahoo no longer has a Mesg for Vista available. I can't find an answer for this problem.

Anyone have any suggestions, please? I really need this program for another situation.

supposed to work with Yahoo Messenger, as well as most other IM services. I do know that they both work with Vista (at least on Vista x64) as I have been testing them as an alternative to Live Messenger. If nothing else it is something try while waiting on other answers.

I'm running Vista 32 bit. It won't install. I've looked everywhere for some answers, but haven't been able t find any yet. Any suggestions or comments on why it won't install on 32 bit? I've got SP1 installed.

I'm running 32 bit. The program won't install. I've tried everything. The info with Yahoo Messenger says it's for either 32 or 64 bit, but it's not installing. Any suggestions? Comments? I've got SP1 installed - came installed on the computer when I bought it.
