| Vista Ultimate X64 SP2 | Re: Installing vb6 to Vista Ummm, That is a real bad Idea, and more than likely will result in your system being infected with Malware. Vista has a security feature called UAC- See the issue is most malware needs Admin priviledges to the system in order to execute and run. Vista is setup so that even the Admin of the system runs without elevated privileges, and If a program should require this elevation to execute- the "warning" pops up. If you disable UAC, you will lose that measure of protection, and you will never know if a program (one that you may not have run- for example, malware that piggybacks on downloads) executes itself in the background... Now that I have warned you, the way to disable UAC: start>Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety>User Accounts>Turn User Account Cotrol on or off |
