Error: Macromedia Flash on Vista

I have an old version of flash "Flash 6.0 r25" back when Flash was still Macromedia. I have had it and used it on vista in the past, only recently has it failed to open. Now everytime I try and open it I get an error saying: Flash 6.0 r25 has stopped working. The only thing Vista has to say is this: Disregard Scrap: Error Details by ~BeBop953 on deviantART

Any solutions?

Uninstall that version cause its old by running this uninstaller from Adobe.

How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control

Then install the latest version.

I appreciate the help but my issue isn't with the player, it's with the animation software. (Flash 6.0 r25) It wont run, and it used to work fine.

Re: Error: Macromedia Flash on Vista

You may be taking a security risk running an older version of Flash...

But I still don't really know how I would go about fixing it.

Re: Error: Macromedia Flash on Vista

I have resolved it. After researching this issue I discovered that some codec packs have been causing problems with Macromedia and Apple products. I removed some codecs I recently dowloaded and now Flash Mx 6.0 r25 works fine. Also my Quicktime no longer crashes, something I omitted from my frist post because I didn't think the issue was related.
