| 32bit | Java installation and update question. Hi, I don't know is this the right place to ask... Question is isit necessary to have my Java update? What is the purpose of Java actually? |

| vista ultimate 32bit,64bit,Seven Ultimate 64bit | Re: Java installation and update question. java runs the little programs and games you find on the internet.if you can play it in your browser, chances are it is powered by java. it also runs some chat programs. its a good idea to keep it updated, if only for security reasons. |

| vista ultimate 32bit,64bit,Seven Ultimate 64bit | Re: Java installation and update question. there is a program called javara. do a search for it. it will delete all but the most up to date java files. |

| vista ultimate 32bit,64bit,Seven Ultimate 64bit | Re: Java installation and update question. i wouldnt delete anything. i guess you could try uninstalling the oldest update, and java will tell you to download it again, if its needed. if you run that program i suggested, it will present you with a list of all java files you can safely delete. |
