Sun Java Install Problem

A Dell Tech told me I had to reformat my computer to correct a problem I was having with my computer After i formated I tried to install the newest version of sun java I was told that version doesn't support my operating system. This is funny because I had the newest upate on my computer before I had to reformat. Would someone please tell me how I can get this new update all suggestions and advice will be appreciated

Hey Clark, try this link;
Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN)

If it is just for the browser, take the JRE 6 Update 12 Select Windows as the platform and agree to the license

I hope this helps

Re: Sun Java Install Problem

Clark,

It would be helpful if you would post whether or not your OS is 32 bit or 64 bit, and which version of Java you are having problems with.

There are known (shall we say) issues with Java and Vista 64 on IE-32bit. Switching to another browser (say Mozilla) to install and use Java apps works great in this case.
