| | Vista 64-bit and Paint Shop Pro 12 Hi, I'm new here but this looks like a wonderful forum. I've tried searching for my problem but cannot find it. I've had this Vista with PSP10, storing all my graphic tubes on an external hard drive. I installed PSPX2, and now not all my graphics show up in VIsta. They do in PSP, but I need to be able to view them in a window environment, etc. to move around and other things. It's only one type of file I cannot see, and that is any with a .psp extension, i.e., .psp, .pspimage, .psptub, etc. I can view my jpgs fine and gif's fine, and all other graphics I have on the external. It all worked wonderfully with psp10, no problems. Would appreciate any info you can give. Thanks, Kitty |

| | re: Vista 64-bit and Paint Shop Pro 12 Sorry. It's Paint Shop Pro programs. X is ten and X2 is 12. I called Corel, and after 15.00 later I was told windows won't recognize the files. Then I rec'd an email from them saying they would test it out and get back to me. X I know is fine, but there was something in X2 that changed windows. I have since rec'd from someone in a group a program that fixes it. I've downloaded it and it's working so far. I've not had much time to play with it. If it works I'll send it through the forum if that's appropriate. If anyone has any other fixes besides downloading a program I'll try that. Kitty |

| | re: Vista 64-bit and Paint Shop Pro 12 Glad to hear you found a solution for now. Hopefully Corel will figure out a solution. I know your pain as I had a weird problem in Windows XP where Black & White .tiff files created in Photoshop CS or CS2 wouldn’t display as thumbnails in Windows explorer. I had to use a program like ACDSee or Adobe Bridge to view them. No problem with the colored .tiff files though. Never did figure out the problem. Luckily Vista doesn’t have this issue with B&W .tiffs. Oh…Remember to define your abbreviations when asking for help as everyone may not be familiar with them, or the program for which it stands for. Peace. |

| | Re: Vista 64-bit and Paint Shop Pro 12 I'm having the same problem. Corel Paint Shop Pro .PSP and .PSPIMAGE and other related files have no thumbnail previews when viewed in Windows Explorer. This is a nightmare for anyone with lots of them, like me. This is the same for my Adobe Photoshop files. No thumbnail preview in Explorer. Any direction as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!! |

| | Re: Vista 64-bit and Paint Shop Pro 12 I also am very unhappy about the fact that I cannot view so many types of graphics in windows explorer. It doesn't look like this has been updated lately, but if anyone finds a solution to this, please post it here. Paint Shop Pro's browser is WAY TOO SLOW to be organizing and moving graphics around from. I much prefer Ulead's Photo Explorer (and have used it for years) but it also does not show a lot of the new graphics. Since Corel bought them out, they probably will not support (i.e., upgrade) Photo Explorer as they want you to use their own browsers. Not as good. Any ideas? |
