| Vista Ultimate 32 | Analog gadet clock not working properly after installing IE8 After I installed IE8 today (Vista 32bit ultimate) I noticed that my analog clock gadget--version 1.0 from Microsoft was not showing the second hand moving. I remoived the gadget and added it back in same thing--rebooted- sameproblem. I have removed and reinstalled several times rebooted--sometimes when I add it, it does not show up in the sidebar. Trried registry cleaner Jv16 power tools--no help Any idea of how to fix or download a new file?? Thanks Last edited by HawkeyeLOM; 03-19-2009 at 04:43 PM.. |

| Vista Ultimate 32 | Something definitely wrong with analog clock with IE8 Well, I did a system restore (prior install of IE8) from safe mode and was back to IE7 and the sidebar clock was working perfectly. Had to update definions--40 mbs or so-- for NIS 2009. did that, and closed sidebar and redownloaded IE8 installer (system restore had removed it). Reinstalled IE8 and opened sidebar, so far so good. But needed to open Norton --somehting needed fixing--if I rember correctly-- and as soon as I did analog clock froze and my "to Process" monitor showed sibar at ~50%--waited a while, it stayed at about that value. rebooted--no change still at ~50% and analog clock frozen. Removed clock from sidebar and usage went back to normal. Something very odd here. with IE 8 and sidebar and possibly NIS 2009 v.16.5) |

| Vista Home Premium 64-bit | Re: Analog gadet clock not working properly after installing IE8 I have the exact same problem and it also happened just after installing IE 8 yesterday; only difference is that I run Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit. The time on the clock froze... [EDIT] ...just removed IE8, problem solved itself. Vladsky Last edited by vladsky; 03-20-2009 at 08:13 AM.. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Analog gadet clock not working properly after installing IE8 Okay - but I like Ie8 - so I tried everything on every post - no success - so I deleted the stupid clock - I'll just use the one in my system tray - bummer What's so weird is it's fine on my laptop (also running IE8) also running Vista x64. |
