I only use vista media center for one thing and that is watching mpeg2 videos. I keep these mpg videos in a single file. I would like to be able to open VMC and right away be in this folder instead of always taking me to the start page in WMC where I have to scroll up from tv/movies to picture/movies and then click video library. And after I click video library I then see my video folder beside 2 other folders I don't use but can't seem to delete. I Would love to be able to streamline my interface and cut down on these extra scrolling and clicking steps to get into my video file right away if posible.
One thing I have done is asociate mpeg video files from my computer to open with "%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe",(WMC program) so that it starts playing with WMC right away without having to navigate in WMC navigation menus. However when the video finishes, I am still taken back to star menu again in WMC wher as I would prefer to remain in my video file.
I prefer WMC over wmp11 since it seems to playback my videos a little smootrher.
