Managing and Supporting Vista tools

What kinds of tools do you guys use to manage/support around 2000 vista desktops? We have a small help desk and boss is looking for grid like tools to quick fix broken computers.

With 2000 machines, you'd want to be investigating centralised client management solutions like MS SCCM or SCCM "Essentials".
