| Vista Home Premium | Problems Uninstalling Adobe CS3 Master Collection. Hi all, I'm new on this forum and I was wondering if someone else had previous issues on the subject or knows how to get around it. I've been using Adobe suit collection CS3 and when I accidentally updated it I had a few issues with some of the programs. So I downloaded another Suit and tried to overwrite the old version with this new one. But it didn't install. So then I tried to uninstall The old Adobe suit from control panel but it would not happen. It would simply just bluff a loading mouse and then nothing would happen. Now I can not intall a new one and the old one is completely disfunctional. The message I get when I try to open a program is "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call custumer support." Anybody know anything about it, let me know. Thanks |

Thanks I have no idea, but dont bother contacting support, as Adobe considers CS3 "Outdated" and will charge you $40 per hour for support, and will take their sweet time reading through scripts, only in the end to tell you something simple.... they are a bunch of crooks IMHO. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Problems Uninstalling Adobe CS3 Master Collection. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility will remove it. Run it from the administrator account. Did you try a normal uninstall from the administrator account? Adobe requires it. |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: Problems Uninstalling Adobe CS3 Master Collection. Hi Saturn, It seems that you still have some old version in the registry - try to run a registry clean-up and then try to reinstall the new version again. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Problems Uninstalling Adobe CS3 Master Collection. I don't recommend a registry cleaner for Vista. They can cause all sorts of issues. Try Windows Install Cleanup Utility first. If it has problems. Do a repair install to fix the uninstaller for CS3. Then, remove it. |
