Vista - Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon Access Denied

I only have one account on my computer and its my administrative account. When i try to log on this message pops up and it: Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon Access Denied and then it logs me out i cant even enter my computer

I would really appretiated if someone could tell me how to fix it without having to send in my computer for repair and paying 200 something dollars.

When did this problem begin?
You can try a system restore thru WIN RE.

Ok here's the fix:
Boot from your vista dvd and enter WIN RE.
Open command prompt.
Type regedit.exe and press ENTER
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\

-Select the Profile that is having problem and rename the Guid to GUID1.
Close regedit and restart your computer.

I was able to do a system restore to the point before norton took over my laptop and it worked perfectly. No other files were affected and since the only user id was the administrator it restored to that point in time. After I created a "Standard" user it that I will use from now on unless I need the Admin. one.
