Turn off AIM Away Message when computer locks?

When my computer is locked, it automatically brings up an "Away Message" on my AOL AIM (version 6.8). Is there a way to turn this off? My computer is set up to automatically lock after 10 minutes, but sometimes - like if I'm just down the hall - I don't want my Away Message to go on.

Any ideas? I found some regedit ideas on other forums, but I think for very old version of AIM and/or different OS.

Thanks!

My first suggestion is to stop using AIM and use Digsby, as Digsby users have complained that Digsby doesn't do this (plus its lighter on resources and isn't bloated like the last version of AIM I remember). But back to your actual question, is there anything in the AIM preferences that mentions either the computer locking or auto away/idle messages?
