| Vista 32bit Home Premium | wmplayer Kernel32.dll failure I have an inkling of an idea that my computer's slowly falling apart...and this is has only just added to my paranoia. Windows media player 11 has been working normally ever since I've got this computer 2 years ago. Now whenever I try to play audio/video it will say WMPlayer has encountered and error..and when it searches for a solution..it simply shuts down. When I checked EventViewer, this is what I got: "Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.6000.6349, time stamp 0x494727bd, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 6.0.6000.21010, time stamp 0x49951e1e, exception code 0xc06d007f, fault offset 0x0001b08e, process id 0x58c, application start time 0x01c9c866b4c509b3." | Win7x64 | Re: wmplayer Kernel32.dll failure It's not possible to draw conclusions about the cause of the crash from that output (not enough info), although I suspect it may have something to do with your regional/language settings, based on the "offset" address seemingly being in this function: KERNEL32!GetLocaleInfoHelper. If you've recently altered your locale settings, you may want to test what happens if you back out those changes. Otherwise, since you can apparently repro this crash very easily, I might be able to help you collect more meaningful data - if you're willing to follow some esoteric instructions. |
