Wise Registry Cleaner

Hi,

I have Wise Registry Cleaner installed and for some reason it keeps finding the same entries again, I delete them every time but they keep showing up when I do a scan.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Wise Registry Cleaner

Looks like they are needed by OS or software you run, so Windows or programs recreate them every time you boot the system or open application. Be careful when playing with any Registry cleaners.

Cheers...

Re: Wise Registry Cleaner

Hi

thanks for your reply.

they come back even if I dont restart the PC, if I scan the registry again then they show up again. They are showing as green and save to be removed but they are not going for some reason.

Any more ideas?

Re: Wise Registry Cleaner

Hello

I was actually asking for help on trying to solve this problem with Wise Registry cleaner, and why it is not removing 100 software entries that are marked as green and are safe to remove, each time I run it. It displays the same results.

Are you not able to give any advice apart from not using registry cleaners???

Re: Wise Registry Cleaner

Registry cleaners cannot distinguish between good and bad registry keys. If a critical reg key is deleted by the registry cleaners, you are in problem.

Hi

I always do a complete backup before I remove anything. What do you suggest I do try and remove these entries in safemode or remove the registy cleaner

Re: Wise Registry Cleaner

I would recommend remove the registry cleaner. I had used ccleaner(it also contains registry cleaner) in the past, and one fine day, most of the programs didn't work as the registry cleaner deleted most if the keys required to run those programs. I have also used Auslogics - Download Auslogics Registry Defrag which used to trim the registry by 7-12 MB but beleive me, it makes no improvement in performance. instead, it gives unnecessary problems.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

I have also used Asulogics registry defrag to. I have notcied that the system has been slower than normal and does seem to be not running as fast as it used to. Do you reconmmend that I backup all my data on to another hdd and then do a complete reinstall of vista? I always thought it was a good idea to keep the registry tidy and that it would help the comptuer run bettter overall.
