Acrobat Reader v9.1

Just upgraded to Acrobat Reader v9.1. Had to remember to uncheck the Google toolbar so I didn't install that little parasite. But when installation completed, I had tow new Adobe programs on my desktop, in the start menu, everywhere but painted on the side of my PCs tower case!

Adobe AIR and adobe.com were installed without my permission, although they might be mentioned in the encyclopedic EULA we all buzz by since it's 1.5 pt Lawyervetica font. The installer also left a folder of garbage on my desktop.

I think this stoops to the level of malware distribution for profit by Adobe, or at least demonstrates the behaviour of that obnoxious neighbor who's lovable but hyperdigestible dog does its business on my lawn but the neighbor doesn't have the courtesy to clean it up.

Anyone else have this experience? If so your thoughts on whether this is merely poor programming or unadulterated abuse of the consumer under the guise of freeware?

Thanks.
