Vista - CCleaner stuck while cleaning Registry

Hi,

I have a lenova Y530 system with 4GB RAM and 2.2 GHZ of core 2 duo processor. Every application works fine for me expect the CCleaner.

I have the latest version of CCleaner Version v2.19.900. When ever i do clean the registry with the application its hang after 21 % . But when I clean the cookies its cleaning with no issue. i never had this issue in the office system which Windows XP.

Is it I'm doing some thing wrong please clarify me.

If you're a "Red Dwarf" fan, you may remember the chapter from the original book where Kryten, the sanitation mechanoid, causes the Nova 5 spaceship to crash by cleaning its navigational computer. Otherwise, if you're not that nerdy, the reference may not mean much to you

Either way, you can rest assured that the registry does not need "cleaning" any more than say the motherboard of your computer. If you immerse that in a warm, soapy froth, it may or may not work afterwards - same thing with so-called "registry cleaners"... the machine may or may not work afterwards, and the amount of benefit was negligible anyway.

cCleaner is a useless registry cleaner. Theres loads of threads on this forum with their pc's crashing or freezing and then they say the cleaned their registry with cCleaner.

I dont understand how its become so popular but my advice is to not use it.

That make sense. The function of Ccleaner is very simple and help my comp little...any other suggestion? My laptop starts up very slowwwwwwwww

If you click the link in my sig and do every step there that will speed up your pc. If you dont know how to update drivers then turn over your laptop and look at the bottom there should be a white sticker with something like Toshiba 1234u written on it. Tell me what it says and il show you where to get the new drivers.

Err...It seems too complicated to me and I'd better use some tools. My friends have recommended the Glary utilities, they said it's free, do you have any idea about this tool? Will it help?

When you install it there will be an icon on your desktop called 1 Click Maintenance. Click that icon and it will clear out trash files and defrag your pc its pretty simple.

I'm trying the Glary and it also got a "1 click maintenance".Besides, I have stopped a lot items from starting up with windows, and it works. I think I will try this tool for a while for it's free,LOL~~Thanks for all your help.
