| Vista Home Premium 32bit and Kubuntu 9.10 | SpeedFan messed up fan I had SpeedFan on my laptop but I didnt understand how to use it so i uninstalled it and now my laptop doesnt use its fan like it used and it overheats too much now. It also did not create a restore point before it installed. Is there a way to fix it? |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit SP2 | Re: SpeedFan messed up fan reinstall speedfan , goto the advanced options and set PWM1 from software controlled to hardware controlled , that will put the control of the fan back in the hands of your bios. Its been a while since i used speedfan i assume its still the same good luck |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: SpeedFan messed up fan Although I can't offer any advice on SpeedFan, I use 18kfangui with excellent results. But it's only for Dell. Because it's powerful, it may be able to grab control from SpeedFan ![]() . |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit and Kubuntu 9.10 | Re: SpeedFan messed up fan everything is alright now i uninstalled speedfan and then hp health check got me new BIOS so it erased and put it new ones so its fixed |
