I'm new here and I'm sorry if I'm double posting. i couldn't find an answer to this and I've been searching for 3 days. I have installed vista anti lag but when i run it, it says "VAL fatal error! QUERY INTERFACE FAILED #1003" its bugging me like crazy. I tried running it as administrator and it still won't work. Plz help

You really ought to try troubleshooting whatever you think is causing lag instead of downloading utilities from somewhat dodgey-looking websites

its Vista searching for new networks mate , it does it every 60 seconds , causes lag ingame for a few seconds (online gaming) makes online games unplayable (huge ping spikes every 60 secs) , in xp you could turn it off (wireless autoconfig was the service name) if you turn off the related service in vista (i froget what its called im on the wifes XP lappy) it brings your network down with it

the only way past it for many is VAL (vista anti lag) i use it , its fantastic

Do you use your machine in an area with lots of wireless networks within range? I haven't personally encountered this issue previously (I avoid wireless when possible), but now I'm curious.

im not keen on wireless for gaming tbh , but i have no choice , the wife has me upstairs in the spare room out of the way

there are other wireless networks from neighbours etc but i think the problem is due to WLAN autoconfig in services , (the issue occurs every 60 seconds , to the second , you can time it which is why im assuming its that service and not interferrence) when it checks for other wirelss networks in range you "lag" out , you only notice it ingame , normal browsing/downloading is not affected
