allrighty here is the short and sweet of the problem, ive been using XP for years at my resurant and my comp **** the bed needless to say i had to get a HP pavillion A6807c now i am trying to run inventory perfectly for our wine lists. etc, i open C:\Documents and Settings\Login\My Documents\wine\winelist.(extension)
i modify to say i have 2 CK mondavi left and hit CTRL + S, it brings me up as a save as, not a save to the existing document, it also doesnt even have the same path that the original document was at, one of my chefs found a small fix that worked for a day and than poof! nothing, he went to properties on the document and hit archive files uncheck the box. it worked for a day and never again.
i dont have my computer hooked to the internet do i have to get the SP updates to fix this problem or should i unload all my MS programs and get open office XP < he sugjested.
this has proven to be a pain in the ass. i just want help i am at a breaking point here, if anyone can help i would love it so much.
