| vista home premium 32bit | error code 0x8007002 when i try to backup my computer Hello, When I try to backup my computer to my external hard drive I get a error message. "The system cannot find the file specified. (0x8007002)" I've tried to use RegCure and it was unsuccessful. How do I fix this problem so I can backup my computer. Thanks! | Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: error code 0x8007002 when i try to backup my computer I think this is the error code you mean 0x80070002 File not found can be any file that's not there when something says it is. You have to find out which file ain't. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: error code 0x8007002 when i try to backup my computer That's ok. All I'm saying is that this HRESULT code is exactly the same as plain old error code "2" which is "file not found" ever since Dos days. It doesn't tell you anything more. Just that a file the program said to get or open or run, isn't there. There's no way anyone away from the machine can figure it out. You have to find out what file the backup was trying to get. |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: error code 0x8007002 when i try to backup my computer Sorry I can't help you with that. I use an image backup that makes an image of the entire partition. I don't use a backup program for files. Just copy them by drag & drop and sync some folders with FreeCommander. You could try error logs. Might give the filename. There should be a tutorial how to read system log files on here or on google. |
