Vista Manager

Hi!

So I’m testing out this tweaking software called Vista Manager. It’s a great utility and has all sorts of features. One of them is the ability to set the L2 cache of your CPU in Vista as it states that Vista doesn’t do this on its own. My CPU is a Q9550 and I’ve oc’ed it to run at 3.4ghz. It has a 12mb L2 cache. All I do with this PC for the mostpart is play wow and lately I’ve really been finding ways to take better advantage of my system and have tweaked so many things that I’ve become confused. I know some are working and some aren’t. This is one that I’m not sure the results have been great, but it could’ve been something else. I mean, I’m running wow at 40-200fps with all settings on Ultra so its not like anything has gone majorly wrong.

But what gave me suspicion that maybe I shouldn’t mess with this is that the Vista Manager has a “query” function to find the L2 cache on its own and everytime I query it says I have 0kb of L2 cache. So I was hoping someone could help me with understanding the pros and cons of this and if I should set it or leave it alone.

Thanks so much
