Windows Media Center Has Wrong TV Listings

I am having a lot trouble getting the right Lafayette Indiana Zip 47904 Comcast TV guide to install in my Windows Media Center .
No matter what zip code i use in the entire country , the Lafayette Kentucky Comcast TV guide is always an option except Lafayette Indiana .
I have just reinstalled my Operating System from Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit to the Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit
.
I never had an ounce of trouble while using the 64 bit OS and getting the right local Comcast TV guide listing for windows Media center .
Could i have the wrong windows Media center updates ?

This is the latest update about this issue .

Someone else not me has been in contact with the general manager of Zap2it, the service provider of schedule information to Microsoft and received the following response:

Hi. You are one of many Media Center users I've heard from about this issue.

I believe the answer is that we already provide this information to Microsoft but they are not integrating it properly into Media Center.

Microsoft should be receiving the same data that is being displayed on our site.

Today we are listing KLRUDT on channel 18.1 and KLRUDT2 on channel 18.2, over the air.

If we are missing additional secondary channels, I can let our data collectors know to contact the station. Please let me know.

Bottom line, this is what we are providing to Microsoft.

Thanks
I have read all that at least twice and there is no reference to the issue i am having so I left a comment about it .
I reinstalled Vista 32 bit yesterday and I choose to manage my updates . I did not install any updates for the media center then did a set up . There was no option for using the Media Center Guide Listings , so i installed the update and run set up again . I am still getting the wrong TV guide Listings . I called Comcast TV about this problem and I am expecting a call or visit from one of their Tech's . I understand this could be caused by my Cable Co . if they have revised there listings , i have a feeling ther are not being published so the media center finds the next city with the same name as the one i live in . This is a unique problem and i will edit this post with an answer as soon as i find one .
Thanks again for your time . John

Sorry that didn’t get things done for you. This could indeed be related to Comcast’s listings, so please let us know how/if they get things sorted out on your end.

Cheers and good luck.

I just got off the phone with them ( Comcast ) because i am steady trying to find a solution for this with no luck so far . Comcast guy and 3 supers are saying it has something to do with my tuner but i know that is some bad info . I did tell them it could be due to their making changes to their Guide but he went on about their tech's are not educated about this issue or how they use the info Microsoft Windows sends them .

I found a way around my Media Center Problem . Here's a recap .
No matter what zip code i use in the entire country , the Lafayette Kentucky Comcast TV guide is always an option except Lafayette Indiana .
I found many zip codes for the surrounding area and choose a small town nearby , Entered their zip code and what i wanted Lafayette Indiana was an option , the only difference i have found between what i downloaded for the Media Center and what i actually have is a Lafayette In . City channel . I've had harder problems to solve but i cant remember when . So i will set it to record something , see how it works and edit this post with the details . Thanks RonS for trying and everyone else for their time . John

I tried to use a different guide listing for Media Center Vista 32 bit and did not have a happy ending after all . So i ignored the problem for a few days , had to use task manager to close the Media Center several times . The only thing i did different was to choose to share info with Microsoft , Today i run the setup again and and got the only Guide Listing i was supposed to get in the first place . I guess that's the end of that , the only thing i can say is be patient and sooner or later it will heal thy self . John
